Trend brokerage company offered two packages, one with 30,000 shares at RON 108/share (€29.4/share), and a second one with 20,000 shares, at RON 110/share (€30/share). Another BVB shareholder, Orizont Vest, offered to sell 24,000 shares for RON 110/share. A total six brokerage companies are selling BVB stock.
“We think this is an opportunity to buy liquid shares from the market instead of sitting on stock exchange company shares,” said Trend President, Bogdan Eugen. He added that the company targets shares of financial investment companies (SIF) and listed banks.
Orizont Vest’s management also said it is selling BVB stock to earn more from deals on the stock market. “We are selling because we can earn more from investments on the capital market, given some of the shares are very cheap now. We estimate that, by the end of the year, SIFs could increase by 30-60 percent,” according to the company’s President, Nicolae Rusu.
