August brought growth of over 8 percent for the BET index, while the financial investment companies (SIF) gained even more, at an average of some 16 percent. Both indices dropped some 16 percent in February.
The brokers of KBC, which dominated the market last year, meeting with sharp competition from other brokerage firms since the beginning of this year, carried out share transactions in August worth over €19 million, almost double those in February, while the company’s market share almost halved to some 7 percent from 13 percent.
“Foreign speculative investment funds are missing on our market.
