BT share transactions exceeded RON 8.2 million (€2.4 mln), or 40 percent of all transactions, in the first half of yesterday’s session alone.
The bank’s shares (TLV index) rose similarly in spite of the larger number of shares on the stock market, due to a recent capital increase. Yesterday’s trading price was RON 0.915 (€0.27), or 1.1 percent higher than at the closing of Friday’s session.
The total value of BVB transactions amounted to RON 21.7 million (€6.5 mln) by mid-session. The stock exchange main index, BET, showing the evolution of BVB’s top 10 listed companies, rose 0.33 percent, while the composite BET-C index rose 0.21 percent.
Banca Transilvania posted net profits worth €133 mln for the first nine months of 2007, a 58 percent year-on-year increase. “Our profit and operations level targets for this year will be significantly overrun, and will continue to sustain development and investments,” said Banca Transilvania’s General Manager, Robert Rekkers.
