Companies in Cluj registered total loans worth RON 3 bln (€0.89 bln), while companies in Timis County ranked third in terms of foreign currency loans, at RON 1.5 bln (€0.44 bln).
Bank loans are the main source of company financing for business expansion, of which the main option is foreign currency loans amounting to an equivalent of RON 35 bln (€20.35 bln), compared to RON loans, worth RON 30 bln (€8.87 bln).
For 2007, the share of corporate loans in GDP is expected to exceed 18 percent, while the degree of financial mediation is estimated at 30 percent.
According to BNR, foreign currency loans amounted to an equivalent of RON 66.7 bln (€19.7 bln) in September, compared to RON financing worth RON 62 bln (€18.34 bln).
