Bucharest General Mayor to earn as much as a multinational manager

One of the stakes of the race between the two is the annual wage for the General Mayor of €12,790, or a monthly €1,065.  This salary is the equivalent of that of a middle manager at the multinational.  However, Bucharest’s Mayor will be earning 13 times less than London’s Mayor, whose annual wage is €173,061.  While New York’s Mayor is due an annual salary worth €123,795, the current office holder, Michael Bloomberg, has opted for a symbolic wage of just $1 a year, with the remainder going to the state as a donation.
