Bucharest home prices higher than Nice

Buying a house in Rome, Milan or Paris costs triple than in Bucharest, according to an annual study made by the U.S. Coldwell Banker real estate consultancy company. The study indicates that Bucharest registers the highest prices for homes in Eastern Europe.

“Bucharest ranks 26th among the 51 cities included in the study. However, we have to mention that the homes taken into consideration belong to people having medium and high incomes on the Romanian market,” according to Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania.

U.S. analysts said that on the domestic market, these kinds of residences can be found in the central and northern side of Bucharest, including both apartments and villas. The most expensive homes in Bucharest are the villas and apartments in the Dacia and Dorobanti neighborhoods, where prices amount to €627,000, and €550,000, respectively.

Standard homes cost €341,000 in Warsaw and €297,000 in Istanbul. Romanian cities register prices as high as other European cities: the average price of a 204 sqm villa is €392,000 in Iasi, €379,000 in Constanta and €220,000 in Craiova.

“Bucharest, as capital, is by far the city with the highest prices. The main reason for this is the high concentration of investors developing new projects, and an increasing demand for such areas Anda Marian Sales Manager, Coldwell Banker
