The value of the shares traded today on BSE stood at 42.95 million lei, down 7.9 percent against the former trading session.
The BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds gained 0.38 percent to 6,387.20 and the BET index measuring the market’s ten top performers advanced 1.07 percent to 9,179.44. The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna rose 0.95 percent to 20,312.11.
The BET-FI index measuring the five investment funds known as SIFs rose 1.28 percent to 72,275.57. SIF Oltenia (SIF5) shares climbed 1.26 percent, to 4.02 lei, SIF Moldova (SIF2) rose 2.51 percent, to 3.27 lei.
The shares of oil company Petrom (SNP) witnessed a 0.20 percent fall, to 0,497 lei. Oil refinery Rompetrol Rafinare Constanta (RRC) shares remained sluggish at 0.103 lei.
Romania’s fifth lender Banca Transilvania (TLV) rose 1.81 percent, to 0.845 lei. BRD SocGen (BRD), the country’s second largest lender by assets, rose 0.83 percent, to 24.20 lei.
