Deals on the opening session totaled 6.43 million lei. The BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds rose 1.54 percent and the BET index tracking the market’s ten top performers gained 1.90 percent. The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna upped 1.74 percent. The BET-FI index measuring the five investment funds known as SIFs went up 1.87 percent.
SIF Oltenia shares ranked first regarding the most liquid shares, after rising 1.7 percent, to 4.22 lei. They were followed by the shares of SIF Moldova, which increased 1.20 percent, to 3.38 lei.
The shares of BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, went up 2.85 percent, to 25.3 lei. Banca Transilvania saw shares gain 1.8 percent, to 0.855 lei. Broker Cluj shares went up 2.76 percent, to 2.71 lei.
