Bucharest Stock Exchange indexes start day up, same as European, Asian stocks

Deals in the opening session went up four-fold against yesterday, totaling 22.40 million lei (6.12 million euros). The BET index measuring the market’s ten top performers gained 2.47 percent to 7,830.36 and the BET-C index assessing all listed shares minus investment funds grew 1.90 percent to 5,449.92.
The ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna advanced 1.73 percent to 16,854.83. The BET-FI index tracking the five investment funds known as SIFs rose 2.67 percent to 63,296.06.
SIF Moldova (SIF2) shares rose 1.05 percent, to 2.9 lei. The shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) upped 2.05 percent, to 3.5 lei.
Lender Banca Transilvania (TLV), the fifth by assets in Romania, rose 2.63 percent to 0.78 lei. The shares of BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, upped 5.39 percent, to 21.50 lei per share.
The shares of Romania’s electricity provider Transelectrica (TEL) gained 1.72 percent, to 29.60 lei.
