Bucharest Stock Exchange slowly recovers after six days of losses, European stocks decline

Deals today totaled 50.14 million lei (13.56 million euros), slightly up against the last trading session.
The BET index tracking the market’s ten top performers gained 0.73 percent to 8,588.25, while the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds dipped 0.12 percent to 5,844.54.
The BET-FI index measuring the five investment funds known as SIFs hiked 2.26 percent to 67,225.08. The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna climbed 0.47 percent to 18,964.92.
The shares of banks and SIF dominated the trading session as they provided almost three quarters of today’s liquidity.
Banca Transilvania (TLV), Romania’s fifth lender by assets, upped 1.22 percent, to 0.83 lei, being the most liquid today. It was followed by SIF Oltenia (SIF5), which grew 2.16 percent, to 3.78 lei.
BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, saw its shares go up 1.78 percent, to 22.9 lei.
Oil company Petrom (SNP) saw a 0.85 percent decline, to 0.4680 lei. Oil refinery Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC) dipped 0.21 percent, to 0.0969 lei per share.
