Bucharest Stock Exchange starts the week posting losses; Asian, European stocks fall
Deals in the opening session stood at 7.14 million lei. Asian stocks started the week down, after the fears concerning a global economic recession continued to persist.

The BET index measuring the market’s ten top performers dropped 2.97 percent to 7,680.82 and the BET-C index tracking all listed shares minus investment funds slipped 3.01 percent to 5,307.97.

The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna lost 2.71 percent to 17,044.84. The BET-FI index which measures the five financial companies SIFs dropped 2.97 percent to 63,389.92.

The shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) dived 2.42 percent, to 3.63 lei. SIF Muntenia (SIF4) shares dropped 3.61 percent, to 1.87 lei per share.

The shares of BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, dipped 2.91 percent, to 20 lei per share. Biofarm (BIO) shares lowered 3.06 percent, to 0.4750 lei.
