Bucharest Stock Exchange to put on the market foreign currency derivatives
BSE submitted to CNVM papers with information concerning the futures contracts, which will be closed in either U.S. dollars or euros. The rules concerning the adjustment of the futures contracts were also submitted to CNVM.

BSE launched so far derivative contracts for two of its indexes: BET Index Futures and BETFX Index Futures (BET – FI). Derivatives represent a security whose price is dependent upon or derived from one or more underlying assets.

The derivative itself is a contract between two or more parties. Its value is determined by fluctuations in the underlying asset. Futures contracts, forward contracts, options and swaps are the most common types of derivatives.
