The study includes representatives of 400 companies, and shows that the risk of negative effects of the international economic crisis is barely noticed. The vast majority of responses regarding economic evolution are positive, with 43 percent of those questioned expecting an improvement in the regional business climate.
Sixty percent of utility companies plan to expand in their own countries, as well as internationally. Croatia is the “champion of pessimism,” with 63 percent of companies not planning to invest in development, and 6 percent intending to reduce investments.
Romania, Russia, Bulgaria and Ukraine are the most optimistic in terms of short-term economic evolution.
