Transactions amounted to 46.11 million lei, versus 27.72 million lei in the previous session.
The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on BSE added 0.80 percent to 5,771.68 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies soared 0.53 percent to 3,331.66.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIF hiked 3.32 percent to 31,387.18 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna rose 0.97 percent to 11,516.69.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies climbed 1.50 percent to 571.55, while the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market slipped 0.40 percent to 768.02.
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) were the most traded on BSE with deals of 8.25 million lei and jumped 4.22 percent to 1.73 lei, while those of SIF Moldova (SIF2) nudged up 2.78 percent to 1.48 lei.
Romania's second lender by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) boosted 3.38 percent to 15.30 lei, on deals of 6.32 million lei.
The country's largest oil company Petrom (SNP) eased 0.32 percent to 0.3160 lei and Transgaz (TGN) cheapened 0.74 percent to 229 lei.
