“The correction can be even bigger, considering that this could be just one week of decline after ten weeks of gains. The market is full of uncertainty at present, only one thing is for sure: the crisis is not over yet,” said the Chairman of the Intercapital Invest brokerage firm, Razvan Pasol.
“There is a risk that investors will switch to an exaggerated pessimism again. Considering the information available at this moment, one could say that 2009 will be a positive year on the Stock Exchange, but I am starting to doubt this,” said one of the oldest brokers on the market, Adrian Caramiha.
Total liquidity on BVB’s two markets amounted to RON 36.4 million (€8.7 mln), with SIFs and lenders in the center of investors’ attention. “I am not saying that we will witness a disaster on the Stock Exchange in the coming sessions, but to exit this deadlock we need a few days of serious increases on foreign stock markets,” said Pasol.
