Octavian Molnar, Deputy General Manager of brokerager company IFB Finwest, said that fewer companies than announced will be listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
One of the most expected listings is Erste Bank, owner of Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), making the Austrian bank the first foreign company on BVB.
The top offer could be Hidroelectrica, Romania’s largest producer of electricity, which is expecting some €300 mln of the stock market in 2008. Minister of Economy and Finance, Varujan Vosganian, is confident that 2008 will bring share packages to the bourse of 10 percent of Romgaz, largest gas producer, Nuclearelectrica, producer of nuclear energy, and Hidroelectrica. The Transelectrica national electricity transport company plans to double its share package for investors and reach 20 percent of shares on BVB.
Raiffeisen Capital&Investment is preparing two new listings in 2008, following its handling last year of the IPO initiated by Transgaz, the largest in BVB’s history.
The STK Emergent investment fund is preparing to become the first listing of a private equity fund, to sell 25 percent of its shares, for an estimated €15 million.
