“We expect to have the first transaction with international issuers on the Romanian market by year-end, considering that the operating rules will be authorized in the following board session, and the paperwork has already been filed at CNVM [the National Securities Commission] for authorizing the alternative system,” Dumitru said.
She explained that the trading platform will contain a national section, that of issuers on the RASDAQ over-the-counter market, and an international section.
“We are focusing on the international section of this MTF, which we believe will be welcomed by both investors and local and foreign brokers. The mechanism will bring additional business to brokers who are already operating on other markets, because transactions will be initiated on BVB and finalized on the foreign market,” Dumitru added.
