BVB's indexes dropped yesterday to record lows in the past 5 months

"The main reason is the financial crisis and the effects of institutional investor distrust in our economy's short-term performance," said Daniel Pocorea, Deputy General Manager of BRD Securities, part of the BRD group, the second-largest lender in the Romanian banking sector.
The stock exchange capitalization amounted to €22.6 billion, dropping by RON 660 mln (some €189.47 mln) compared to the previous session. Only four companies registered increases by the end of the stock exchange session, while two maintained the same level registered when the Monday session closed.

The remaining companies yesterday registered between 1-14 percent losses compared to the previous session. SIF 5 Oltenia shares were most-traded, totaling transactions worth €6 mln, dropping by 2.78 percent, down to RON 3.84 (some €1.10).
