The average hourly fee was €22, while the top fee per hour amounted to €109.7. The highest fee for an audit company was €60,000 in 2007 (€75 an hour).
“It is natural that an hour of audit be worth at least €30, especially since the charge for auto service is similar,” said Ion Mihailescu, President of CAFR.
However, the hourly fees of the so-called Big Four group (Deloitte, KPMG, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young) can be even 20 times higher than the average calculated by CAFR, reaching €400.
