Car sales to slow this year for the first time since 2001

The APIA forecast includes the modification, as of 1 July, of the first registration tax, the slowdown of Daewoo car production, and a drop in the availability of loans. So far, after the first five months, there has been a drop in new car sales of 1.6 percent, against a backdrop of powerful regress of new, imported cars, pulling down the value fivefold compared to last year.
