Carrefour leads by far in GeneralRate, with a 40.15 index, compared to the 10.90 and 10.43 indexes obtained by Real and Cora, respectively. Carrefour obtained a higher index on the women category (40.88) and on the 18-25 age category (43.64). In terms of regional level preferences, the French hypermarket ranks first, with a 51.25 index in the southern Muntenia region of the country, while in terms of visibility, Carrefour, Metro, and Kaufland take “the lion share”, with Carrefour having obtained the highest index in Muntenia, of 63.42. Cora received a 51.07 index for Bucharest, though the brand ranks fifth in terms of total visibility index (19.02).
Carrefour, Real, and Metro rank top three in the category of respondents with incomes above RON 5,000 (some €1,341), while Carrefour, Plus, and Metro were preferred by people with revenues below RON 500 (some €134.1).
