CEZ could borrow up to €200 million from the EIB and some €500 mln from the EBRD. “It depends on how good banks’ conditions are, we are now negotiating and we could borrow 30-50 percent of the wind energy project’s value, but we do not know yet,” said the company official.
The energy company took over two wind energy projects located north of the city of Constanta (southeastern Romania) from the Continental Wind Partners company in August 2008. These two projects will form the largest wind energy park in Europe. CEZ allocated CZK 14.2 bln (€531 mln) for this project in 2009.
