According to Voicu, over 50 percent of the necessary staff is available to operate the two wind energy projects in Dobrogea, which are to form the largest on-shore wind park in Europe (up to 600 MW), once these are finalized.
“We have initiated an international recruiting campaign for the Dobrogea projects, since the wind energy sector is still new in Romania, and we cannot find many qualified people,” Voicu explained, adding that the company seeks specialists for key positions. The Project Manager position has already been filled by a Czech sent by the company mother.
CEZ signed the 2008 deal of the year in the energy field with the CWP investment fund operating in the field of renewable energy in Central and Eastern Europe. The deal is estimated to be worth some €300 million, but the final amount depends on certain steps being taken. CEZ officially announced its transaction with CWP totals €1.1 billion, including both the project investment and the amount paid to the fund.
