CFR has debts worth RON 720 million (€200 mln) to the Electrica electricity distributor, including RON 570 mln (€160 mln) in debts and RON 150 mln (€41 mln) in penalties. The auction will take place in December, that for the land in Militari with a starting price exceeding €1,000/square meter, and the land in Ploiesti at over €200/sqm.

Constantin Manea, CFR's General Manager, said recently that he is considering changing the electricity supplier, after paying off its debt to Electrica, and is looking for a company with tariffs 10-15 percent lower.
