Thus, Gheorghe Constantin and Fritz Stuessi are likely to take over the Buzau factory, currently managed by Herwig Schwiha. The latter will become Manager of the Roman factory, replacing current Manager, Iulian Antoniu. Antoniu was promoted as Production Planning Director for Agrana's operations in Romania.

Agrana Romania is the local subsidiary of Austrian-based Agrana group.
According to Agrana's General Representative for Romania, Emilian Dobrescu, the subsidiary also has a new Financial Director as of 1 July 2007, former company Head of Control, Madalina Lega.

Another decision to be made by the management is the relocation of Agrana's headquarters to Bucharest, from its current location in the city of Buzau.

Agrana Romania posted net profits worth €6.2 million in the first half of 2007, 81 percent higher year-on-year, and turnover worth €56.44 mln, 16.25 percent lower thank in the same period last year.

The local sugar market is worth some €250 mln, with Agrana, Lemarco and Zaharul Oradea as main players.
