Close to 3 million clients for mandatory private pensions

The top five companies on the market secured 82.2 percent of the total subscribers. ING and Allianz-Tiriac Pensii Private are the leading funds, with a cumulated 58.5 percent of the market. The third largest player, Generali Fond de Pensii, has a 9.4 percent market share.

Contributions to mandatory private pensions amount to a total RON 835 million (€234.65 mln), or 0.19 percent of GDP in 2008.
