These salaries place CNVM leaders among the best paid 1,000 executives in the country, according to data available on the human resources market. Furthermore, they are among the highest salaries registered for public workers.
CNVM’s Vice President Carmen Negoita earned a total €111,000 in 2007, or €9,300 per month, while her husband, Bucharest Sector 3 Mayor, Liviu Negoita, earned a mere €1,600 per month.
Another CNVM Vice President, Paul Miclaus, also earned €111,000 per year. Commissioner Victor Eros earned €120,000 in 2007. CNVM President, Gabriela Anghelache, has not yet made her income for last year public.
Salaries within the commission rose an average 50 percent last year, while wages for CNVM heads doubled. Four commissioners earned a total €415,000 in 2007, or 5.5 percent of the commission’s profit for last year.
