Cosmote switched advertising agencies following a global tender last month. Cosmote Romania is part of Greek Cosmote operator, controlled by Greece’s largest telecom operator, OTE.
At the end of 2007, the company’s Managing Director, Cristina Jansen, was estimating 33 percent growth for last year, compared to 2006, when the company posted €3 million in turnover.
Peter Jansen said the loss, brought about by Cosmote’s decision, will be recovered by the end of the year. The agency targets a new telecom client, as the Cosmote campaign led to two prizes awarded to the advertising agency. Furthermore, the agency targets clients in other industries, including the financial sector, fast-moving consumer goods, and real estate. Among the company’s clients are the Peroni beer brand and a Greek bread producer.
