Coldwell Banker to broker real estate loans

The company will enter the loan brokerage market as of this May.

“In the past few years, the real estate loans market had a remarkable growth, of 65-75 percent annually, the estimations point to a value of €8 bln in 2009,” a company release states. Real estate loans only make up 3.4 percent of Romania’s gross domestic product, compared to 50 percent in Europe’s developed countries.

In 2007, the local real estate loan market was worth €4 bln, almost double on 2006. Coldwell Banker estimations point to a credit volume of €6 bln in 2008.
