Companies offer money in lieu of company cars

“Some 5 percent of Romanian companies offer employees the option of a company car or cash, with the amount varying based on company size or position the employee holds within the company. The money is offered monthly and can be used as the employee wishes,” said Consulteam Country Manager, Oana Botolan. 

Romania is far behind the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, with more than 12 percent of Slovakian and Bulgarian companies resorting to this practice, and 11 percent in the Czech Republic.
