In 2007, the 38 companies analyzed by Business Standard invested a total of €1.99 billion.

The largest investments are scheduled for companies listed on BVB’s first category, totaling €2.53 bln, 45.7 percent higher year-on-year. Petrom, Romania’s largest company, plans to invest €1.75 bln alone, 50 percent higher year-on-year..

For companies listed on BVB’s second category, investments are to reach €249 million, 2 percent lower year-on-year. Oil transportation company Oil Terminal planned the largest investments, worth €23.14 mln.

Port operator Socep Constanta and real estate developer Impact Contractor&Developer also target higher investments than last year. Socep plans to invest €1.51 mln, 2.3 times higher year-on-year, while Impact plans to invest €71.4 mln, 2.82 times higher year-on-year.

Aerostar Bacau, specialized in constructing and repairing aircrafts, plans to invest and estimated of €4.9 million, 156 percent higher year-on-year.
