Prime Minister Emil Boc announced at the end of June that all outstanding VAT reimbursements will be made within 45 days. “No VAT reimbursement will be made later than 45 days,” Boc said. Minister of Finance Gheorghe Pogea said that the state delayed reimbursing VAT not only because revenues are down, but also because amounts are overdue as far back as 2008.
