At the level of the European Union, the Economic Sentiment Indicator amounts to 60.3 points, the lowest level since it was introduced, in 1985, according to data provided by the European Commission.
Romanian managers are expecting additional drops in the coming months in industry, trade, and services, combined with stagnation in the construction sector, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Three in ten managers in the processing industry expect the volume of production to decline in the coming three months, due to a drop in the number of contracts and orders in the three previous months, for both the local and foreign markets. Over two thirds of the managers are expecting the prices of industrial products to stabilize in the near future.
