Cosmote invests €37 mln in Timis County

Cosmote’s coverage reached 98.89 percent in Timis County. “Timisoara is an important point in the company’s strategy to ensure quality services for mobile phone users in Romania,” said Tereza Valcan, Corporate Affairs Manager for Cosmote Romania.

The company indicated that its network covers over 98 percent of Romania’s total population and 87.5 percent of the territory. In 2007 Cosmote invested over €201 million in Romania.

It posted €156.6 mln in turnover in 2007, up a staggering 255.5 percent year-on-year, while net losses went up by 29.2 percent to €118.4 mln.

Cosmote had a portfolio of 3,616 million users at the end of 2007. The percentage of its subscribers rose 20.11 percent in terms of total users by the end of last year.
