Credit squeeze boosts IBM’s financing business

“Amid the loan market crisis, increasingly more companies are seeking financing from us, because they cannot find it elsewhere,” IBM Global Financing’s General Manager, John Callies, told Business Standard.

Among the lender’s clients in Romania are communications operator RCS&RDS, one of the major companies in the field.

Last year, IBM Global Financing granted loans worth $31 mln (€20 mln) in the Czech Republic, $42 mln (€27 mln) in Poland, and $11 mln (€7 mln) in Russia.
