Credits in lieu of guarantees

The radical strategy change and competition with banks will affect loan guarantees for small and medium-sized companies, still the institution’s main mission. “The fund cannot become a loan institution. Banks could go around the fund’s guarantees if it becomes a competitor,” says Ovidiu Nicolescu, President of the National Council for Small and Medium-Sized Private Enterprises in Romania (CNIPMMR).
