“The contract signed between CWP and the Czech CEZ company stipulates the adjustment of the final amount based on various steps. Finally, if all steps are respected, and CEZ will be certain that it acquired two perfectly viable wind projects, the regenerative energy investment fund stands to make some €285 million,” said sources close to the transaction.
The financial details are confidential. “The amount that CEZ has indicated it is willing to pay CWP for the Dobrogea project in fact shows the hunger and race of energy giants present on the internal market for investments in production. For almost four years, the Romanian authorities have made available for sale a very small part of the electricity generators, which can not satisfy a major energy investment with long-term production plans,” sources said. CEZ announced that the CWP transaction totals €1.1 billion.
