Dacia’s share of the local market slid to 27.8 percent from 30.2 percent, while demand for imported cars rose by 1.9 percent, to 169,000 units.
A series of changes in the list of brands in terms of sales occurred on the imported car segment in the January-October period. Thus, Skoda ranks first, with a 13.5 percent increase, to 21,427 units, while Volkswagen is second, with 17,946 (a 6.8 percent drop). Renault, which ranks third, with 17,512 units, registered the largest drop of all brands, of 27.9 percent. Ford is in fourth place, with a 21.1 percent rise, to 15,972 units.
The Dacia car factory interrupted production until 7 December, due to a drop in the domestic and export markets.
