“Dacia’s management arrived at the conclusion that it must cut production to 200,000 units for 2009, following the analysis of the absorption capacity of both the Romanian and foreign markets, although this year’s investment program included a doubling of its production level,” added Costin.
At the end of 2008, the company announced it would lower its 2009 investment budget to €150 million from the initial estimate of €250 mln.
