“It has been four days now since the strike began and I understand there are daily losses of ten million euro. This means €40 million in losses. Instead of these losses, would it not have been better if the management were to negotiate with the union? If these people can afford to lose €10 million every day, this means that the figures they presented during negotiations are false,” said Costin.
The union leader indicated that Dacia is also in trouble with some sub assembly suppliers, as a result of the strike. He added that the union will not give in until it winds “this battle.”
Union representatives are estimating that the losses are worth €8 million/per day, counting daily production of 1,300 cars (the price of a car ranges from €6,000-€13,000) and the technology fluctuations, and on the other hand, the fact that trucks are still leaving the factory loaded with cars.
