Dacia to launch Logan pick-up truck in 2008

Logan Pick-Up is designed for small businessmen and traders, the release says. In 2008 Dacia will start European sales of the Sandero hatchback, which Renault will launch in December this year in Brazil.

Sandero is the first car for Renault to launch outside Europe. The car is derived from the Logan and will be produced in the Brazilian city of Curitiba. The next targeted country is Argentina.

Western Europe remains Dacia's main export destination for the Logan model accounting for more than 50 percent. France leads in terms of sales with 14,915 Logan cars sold from the beginning of the year, followed by Germany, where Dacia sales boomed almost by 200 percent from the first half of 2006, reaching 8,357 units. Next to come is Algeria with 5,563 units, Spain with 4,148 units and Ukraine with 3,391.
