“Serious negotiations are ongoing with two Western European companies and another, farther away from Romania,” Petrescu told Business Standard. He added the company is worth some €25 million “or more,” but declined to provide further details on the negotiated price.
He added that the terms of sale are to be discussed in the coming days. “One option is the sale of the entire company. To date, everyone wants me to hold on to a package of shares. Of course, if the capital inflow is sufficiently attractive, I will accept a partnership,” Petrescu said.
Two months ago, Petrescu had indicated he was finalizing negotiations with an Austrian company, for the sale of a 51 percent share package of Dacos
Petrescu estimates that the transportation company’s turnover will increase 20 percent, up to €6 million, compared to the €5 million registered last year.
Dacos competes with the large companies Atlassib and Eurolines, which together cover some 50 percent of the local market.
