Refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, hair driers, TV sets, mobile phones, and vacuum cleaners are some of the electrical and electronic products acquired by most households over the past 12 months.
However, the number of households owning microwave ovens, kitchen appliances, and electrical shavers has risen compared to last year. Products ranking in the top of acquisition in the past 12 months are TV sets, computers/laptops, and mobile phones.
“People are looking for economical products, as energy consumption and environmental protection is become increasingly important when choosing such appliances,” the Marketing Manager of Whirlpool Romania, Mioara Bolozan, told Business Standard.
According to the official, the factors that generated the trend to replace household appliances acquired only a few years ago also include recent buy-back campaigns and promotions.
