Stefanica did not actually participate in the merger of the two law firms, opting to depart before the process started, although it was originally announced that he would be a partner in the new company. Dan Stefanica did not wish to comment, while Mugur Filipescu, Partner of Voicu&Filipescu, confirmed this when contacted by Business Standard.
Stefanica, Dutu & Asociatii is a small law firm, established in 1997, whose business is worth some €2 million in 2007. Anchor Group real estate developer and Posta Romana national postal service are among the law firm’s clients. Voicu & Filipescu was established in 2001, as a spin-off of Musat&Asociatii, and posted turnover worth some €4 mln last year. Major clients include Coca-Cola and PPF.
