“In times of crisis, the main concern of leaders should be to protect the company, raising efficiency, but, at the same time, not losing sight of ethical values. Also, the role of leaders is now to ensure they have the right people for certain key activities and to communicate and motivate employees, acting like leaders,” Ulrich added.
According to the HR specialist, companies should involve employees to identify efficient solutions, considering that this strategy raises people’s commitment to the company. “Employees are motivated when what they do helps them to meet their goals, and their current goal is to keep their job,” Ulrich said.
