Demand for foreign workers down sharply

There were less than 4,000 foreigners workers from non-European Union countries, compared to over 6,000 last year. According to Aurel Teodorescu, Director of the Migration Bureau of the Romanian Immigration Office (ORI), there are presently 30,000 foreign workers in Romania from countries such as Turkey, China, and the Republic of Moldova.
