Demand for fresh meat to lead to €24 mln rise in Integra’s business

Integra owns a new meat processing factory with a daily 100 ton production capacity, opened at the end of 2007 near Bucharest, following an investment of over €6 million.

“Romanians prefer very good quality meat. Lately, we have had great demand for beef, which comes entirely from Romanian stock,” says Lucian Stanescu, majority shareholder.

Raw meat comes from internal production and some imports.

The Romanian cold meats market is worth over €700 million. The main competitors are Cris-Tim, Aldis Calarasi, Elit, Campofrio and Angst.
