The Discovery Science channel will thus get a new “look” and logo, as well as a richer and improved show schedule. According to the company, the main objectives of these changes are to increase the company’s operations in the region, through the development of a portfolio of well-positioned channels, and to maintain its position as leader among thematic channels on each of the competitive Central European markets, namely Poland, Romania and Hungary.
Monika Kinal, Corporate Communications Manager of CE Discovery Networks Europe, Middle East&Africa (EMEA) explained that Discovery Science will now be aimed at a young male public, new technology and gadget aficionados.
The main programs to be offered by Discovery World will be police stories, historic documentaries, and programs about technology and cars, and Monika Kinal indicated that this channel will target adult males and females interested in in-depth documentation on a diversity of subjects.
