The CEO of Diverta, Dan Rosu, told Business Standard that the most significant increases were registered for IT&C products and books, which rose by 75 percent and 35 percent, respectively, compared to 2006 levels. Media sales surged by 33 percent while sales of stationary soared by 27 percent year-on-year.
Company officials estimate €47 mln worth of net sales by year-end, revising upward estimates made at the end of March 2007, of €45 mln. "Growth rates registered in the past months have exceeded 40 percent and I believe they will remain at this level in the near future as well," said Rosu.
The increases are due to general consumer development and the Diverta concept, which requires a high level of interactivity with potential buyers, through film, book or gadget launches. The Diverta division registered €38 mln in turnover in 2006, up one fifth year-on-year.
