“We estimate a 10 percent market share in 2009, and an improvement in position to fourth place on the Romanian market, basing on higher visibility, the introduction of new technologies, and newly launched DPD products,” the enterprise’s Marketing&Corporate Responsibility Manager, Sorin Ghinescu, told Business Standard.
The company official added that the courier market will register an interesting evolution in the coming years, when other international competitors could consider entering the Romanian market. “The main competitors are already present in Romania, and the general trend is one of consolidation and maturation of the market,” Ghinescu said.
The company’s net sales are expected to rise by one fifth annually, to €7.68 million. Ghinescu said that costs increased 5-10 percent in past months, due to the depreciation of the leu.
